Delve underground at the Jersey War Tunnels

A warren of tunnels and rooms Jersey War Tunnels is a great place to try to understand what life must have been like on Jersey during Nazi occupation. They may be a little scary for younger children but older ones will love the spooky war tunnels complete with talking mannequins and loud sound effects.

Enjoy the splendor of St Brelades Bay – one of the great things to do in Jersey with kids

St Brelade’s Bay is beautiful and as it’s been voted one of the UK’s top 10 beaches it is definitely worth a visit. St Brelade’s is perfect for watersports, paddling in the sea or sandcastle building and with its gorgeous golden sands and restaurants facing the sea it’s a great family destination.

This picturesque harbor town of St Helier is full of charm and packed with cafes, craft shops and lovely independent shops. It’s also a great place to watch the boats come in and while there’s not a huge amount going on it is one of the top Jersey tourist attractions thanks to its pretty look.

Mont Orgueil Castle was our favorite castle and one of the top things to see in Jersey. With fun activities for children during school holidays and weekends there’s always something going on and it’s a great place to explore.

Find your wild side at Jersey Zoo – one of the great things to do in Jersey with kids

Jersey Zoo is one of the best wildlife parks we’ve been to and you will definitely spend a happy day here. Durrell Wildlife Park is somewhere that really looks after its animals and is a world leader in conservation. Don’t miss this wonderful place.

Go horse riding on the beach at St Ouen

If you have older children this would be a perfect place for a spot of horse riding with its wide stretch of beautiful sandy beach and there are a number of companies that organize for horse riding such as this one here.

Learn more about the oceans and take a seafari

For older children this is a great way to explore the sea life around the Channel Islands or even take in the views and animals together with a trip to France.Seafaris organize a number of different trips out.

Take in the mysterious Plemont Beach

Mysterious caves and rock pools galore – Plemont Beach is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. There’s a wonderful cafe here and a trip down will show why generations of families have visited.

Walk out to Elizabeth Castle

This foreboding Castle is great to visit and walking out is really atmospheric and perfect for children’s imaginations. Spend a morning or afternoon at Elizabeth Castle, the children will love it and you can always take the amphibious vehicle back.
